These distinctions are more pronounced on the Java model but not too much with the UWP version. However, Minecraft UWP shader is identical to a texture pack with some distinction.
You probably view the UWP model to slow down after installing a shader. Unfortunately, Shaders slow down Minecraft or they need a more capable system for the game to run perfectly or smoothly.
